VICTORIA, BC: The Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) has received Alberta Director Derek Fildebrandt’s notice of resignation.

“Derek has been a tremendous employee and representative for CTF supporters both in Alberta and across the country. During his time in Ottawa as our National Research Director, Derek helped author many of our national reports, including a ground-breaking MP pension report,” said CTF President Troy Lanigan.

“As our provincial director in Alberta, Derek dug up many waste stories – including the cost of sole-sourced flood contracts, former minister Cusanelli’s taxpayer-funded trip to the Olympics for her family members, the costs of the Building Alberta signs, and many more.”

“Derek is a great writer, he has a nose for digging up waste and CTF supporters couldn’t have asked for a better representative over the past six years. We wish him every success in the future.” Lanigan concluded

Effective immediately, the CTF‘s Vice President, Communications, Scott Hennig based in Edmonton will serve as acting Alberta Director. All media inquiries should be directed to Scott until a new Alberta Director is announced.
